about me
ABOUT ME
I'm Alex de la Torre, a Mexican-born bilingual actor based in Los Angeles. I work in film, television, and commercial projects in both English and Spanish, bringing cultural authenticity and emotional depth to every role.
After moving to Mexico City to pursue acting professionally, I trained at two of Mexico's most respected conservatories: CasAzul ARGOS and CEA Televisa. Following my training, I secured a recurring role on the Televisa series My Heart Is Yours before relocating to Los Angeles to continue expanding my career and education.
My work spans television, independent film, and commercial campaigns. Most recently, I received Best Actor nominations at the SmodCastle Film Festival and Chandler International Film Festival for my leading performance in the bilingual feature film Alta California.
Beyond acting, I am the creator and host of Mentes en Construcción, a Spanish-language podcast focused on personal growth, creativity, mental health, and life design. Through conversations and storytelling, I explore the experiences that shape who we become—both on and off screen.
I also have a background in film production and user experience design, which gives me a broader understanding of storytelling, audience connection, and the creative process from multiple perspectives.
Whether I'm portraying a character, hosting a conversation, or developing a creative project, I'm driven by a simple goal: telling stories that connect people across cultures and experiences.
